Chain of Blame

And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.- Genesis 3:13.

To date, the longest recorded domino toppling was created with 4,002,146
dominoes at Weijers Domino Productions in Holland on November 18, 2005. You've probably seen a smaller such event or created one of your own at some point in your life. If done correctly, only one domino spills the rest.

To do this, dominoes are set far enough apart so they lean against the adjacent domino as parallel to the floor as possible. Otherwise, they may bunch up and fall the wrong way, cutting off the toppling. Dominoes are also set close enough so that they knock against one another. The setup requires meticulous planning and concentration.

The removal of just one domino upsets the toppling. The line topples only to the missing domino, and the remaining dominoes are left standing.

Lack of personal responsibility is like the first toppled domino. When one person passes the buck, responsibility falls to the next person, who passes it on until someone steps out of queue and takes on responsibility for the rest. Adam passed the blame to Eve, who passed it to the serpent.

Jesus broke the chain of blame that began in the Garden of Eden by stepping out of queue and taking responsibility for our frailties.

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father God, this world is full of blame and excuses. Grant us courage to stand out of queue and help frail ones stand tall. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen."

Have a Blessed Tuesday and God Bless you.
