Are You Ready To Read?

Today's Scripture

"Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." - Revelation 1:3 (KJV).

Thoughts for Today

This scripture is concerning the book of Revelation in the Bible. There is promised blessing to those who read the book of Revelation and those who hear it and keep the things which are written in it. The book of Revelation can be an awfully scary book to read, but we have Christ and shouldn't worry about the things, but look forward to them. The time for the prophecies to come to pass is definitely at hand. With them being at hand we need to know what "They that are at hand." are. We need to know the book of Revelation. We need to know the rest of the Bible too, but we shouldn't hide ourselves from Revelation as so many do. Things are happening and will happen that reflect the prophesies mentioned in Revelation and in the rest of the Bible, but yet a lot of us don't know about these things.

If we don't know about them then we can't watch for them and if we're not aware then we may fall into the snares and traps of the devil. I'm not talking about just small traps and snares that we can get out of, but ones that we can never get out of and that will land us in Hell. Let's take the Mark Of The Beast which is in Revelation for example: Whoever receives the Mark Of The Beast will go to the lake of fire for eternity. If you don't know what the Mark Of The Beast is then I'm not going to go into it, because I want you to open your Bible and find out about it yourself. I want you to read the book of Revelation and learn the prophesies and other stuff mentioned for yourself and to protect yourself! I can hear you now, "Well that's not fair, that's too big of a thing to withhold from me!" I'm not withholding it, I'm telling you to go read it for yourself because I know that people don't get the full picture when I try to explain it all and then they think they know it all. Don't have a Bible? Go to and read it there. This is important! After you read devotion this then we will be able to see how important your soul and walk with God, really is by whether or not you will take the time to read the book of Revelation in the Bible. If you don't have the time to do such a small thing for the Lord, now then He isn't going to have any time for you when you die. Make the time for the Lord!

Call me mean or whatever, but my job as a Minister of the Lord, is to lead you to the blessings and away from the snares and traps of Satan. People come here and to other sites and have time to read devotions and other books and stuff like that, but no one has the time to read the Bible. They expect people who do read the Bible to carry them and lead them forever and ever... it doesn't work that way! You have to have your own relationship with Christ some where along the lines. When I was at home in Indiana and had just recently become saved and was reading in the Bible, I was telling my sister about all these things that I could remember about what I've read. She was a bit worried, but not enough... you know what she told me? She said, "I don't need to read the Bible, when that time comes I will just follow your lead!" It's not that easy. She's not a follower of Christ, but I know that many of you who have accepted Christ, aren't followers either. You've accepted Him, but you're not following because you haven't seen which direction in which He walked. You're walking blindly and that is going to cost you. It doesn't have to be that way.

All you have to do is open up the Bible and read it! Read the Bible and follow the directions. Always pray for understanding before you read, because some of you are saying, "I can't understand the Bible!". Pray for understanding and you will understand it! There are so many different versions of the Bible too that it is a cheap excuse to say, "I don't understand it!" Maybe I am being harsh, but I am also being real. There are so many benefits to reading the Bible and so many of you are missing out! The main benefit is wisdom and faith to keep you out of Hell. Are you ready to read?

Prayer: "Our Loving Heavenly Father, thank you for this message and for all things. Please forgive us of all our sins and we forgive all those who've wronged us. Please help us to know you through your Word and to know the prophesies and to obey the commandments you have given us. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen."

Have a Blessed Wednesday and God Bless you.
