Gods Anointing Part 2

Today's Scripture

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will[a] abide in Him. - (1 John 2:27) (NKJV).

Thoughts for Today

Yesterday, we saw the meaning of anointing and who need this anointing. Let us continue on this.

Those who are filled with the Holy Spirit are called "Pentecost People". This is because of this. Pentecost is a Jewish festival celebrated fifty days after the Passover. In this festival, Jews offered their first fruits of the harvest to
the LORD God. The word "Pentecost" in the Greek language means "fiftieth". - (Leviticus 23:16, Acts 2:1).

During these festival days, the Apostles and disciples gathered in Jerusalem were filled with the Holy Spirit. In the early church every one was a believer, saved and received the Holy Spirit. They were only called "Jesus' disciples" or "Christians". But in the later days, two divisions - those who got the Holy Spirit and those who haven't – emerged. Since those received claimed that their origin was the Pentecost, they were called Pentecost people. Just like the "seventh day" group, this is the "50th day" group. Do we call somebody the "Christmas people" if they get the Holy Spirit on Christmas day?  It is sad, that the Holy Spirit necessary to every Christian caused a division in the Church.

Most of the Church people are familiar with the fundamental Christian doctrines. But the preaching about the Holy Spirit has been ignored. But, if the pastors preach about this, all the Christians can get this anointing.

Just as a saved person can back slide, an anointed one can back slide and lose the Holy Spirit if he does not lead a prayerful and holy life to retain the anointing. "Do not quench the Spirit.", warns Paul in 1 Thessalonians 5:19. No one reaches the pinnacle of a holy life immediately. It is natural to expect good qualities from those who have received the Holy Spirit. But only when one submits completely to the Holy Spirit good qualities and behavior will emerge. The Holy Spirit will take control as much as we allow Him. His prompting will start taking effect in our lives.

Most anointed people do not give as much importance to getting deep Christian experience as they give to speaking in tongues. But because of this we should not neglect the importance of the Holy Spirit. The behavior of many anointed may not be likable. It is sad. We agree that it should be corrected. But because of this let us not conclude that the anointing itself is unnecessary.

Therefore, let us not neglect the Holy Spirit, receive Him and experience heaven in this life. May God grant us this grace. Amen. Hallelujah.

O, Holy Spirit,
spring and river of life
Fill my heart!
Bless me, O Lord!
Fill me with the fruits of Spirit.

Prayer: Our loving and guiding Heavenly Father, we thank you for this day. We thank you for helping us understand the anointing. Help everyone reading this, get the anointing. Help us realize that it is required of every Christian; not only to a group. With this realization, let use get this anointing and set straight many things in our personal and prayer life. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen."

Have a Blessed Wednesday and God Bless you.
